Hire Item Refund Policy - Ellese Bakes 🎉💖

Thank you for hiring our items to enhance your special events! We aim to provide a simple and transparent process for all hire returns and deposits. Please review our Hire Item Refund Policy below:

  1. Daily Hire Charges:
  • Hire items are charged daily, with rates depending on the items you are hiring.
  • A minimum hire period of 2 days applies, covering your event day and the day after.
  1. Return Location:
  • Hire items must be returned to our shop in Caister unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.
  1. Refundable Deposit Charge:
  • A refundable deposit is required to secure your hire items.
  • This deposit will be invoiced via email and must be paid before the hire is confirmed.
  • Once the items are returned and inspected, the deposit will be refunded through the original payment method.
  1. Shop Opening Hours & Return Arrangements:
  • Our shop is staffed Wednesday to Saturday. Occasionally, we may open outside of these days—please email us to confirm.
  • If you cannot return hire items during shop hours, please email us at admin@ellesebakes.com to arrange a return time.
  • We understand our limited opening hours and will not charge for days the shop is closed while you still have the hire item.
  1. Item Condition:
  • All hire items will be inspected upon return. The deposit will only be refunded if the items are returned in the same condition they were hired out.
  • Damage, loss, or missing items may result in partial or full forfeiture of your deposit.
  1. Late Returns:
  • Late returns will incur additional daily hire charges unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • Please email us at admin@ellesebakes.com as soon as possible if you anticipate delays in returning the items.
  1. Liability:
  • Ellese Bakes is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from the use of hire items. It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure items are used safely and appropriately.
  1. Cleaning Requirements:
  • All hire items should be returned clean and free from any residue (e.g., food, decorations).
  • Additional cleaning fees may apply if items are returned in an unclean state.
  1. How to Arrange a Return or Refund:
  • To coordinate a return or inquire about your deposit refund, email us at admin@ellesebakes.com with your hire details.
  1. Changes or Cancellations:
  • Any changes to your hire booking must be communicated at least 7 days before your event date.
  • Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to a new date if necessary.
  1. Hire Agreement:
  • By hiring items from Ellese Bakes, you agree to these terms and conditions.
